What is Awana?

Awana is ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him.  How does Awana fulfill this mission? Through God’s guidance and power, Awana strives to reach kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him.

Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Ministry leaders and parents witness the profound impact Awana has in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples. That’s why so many families and leaders have returned year after year, week after week.

Awana equips ministry leaders and parents to reach and disciple kids who impact their generation with the gospel.

God's vision to multiply leaders is planted in countless individuals. Away nurtures this vision. We train leaders who help change kids’ lives forever. Awana has proven resources and relevant training content which helps them develop into vibrant leaders at home, church and in their community.

God is at work changing the world through the evangelism and long-term discipleship ministry of Awana.

Kids lives are forever transformed. Volunteers grow as leaders. Families become stronger and churches build community through active involvement in Awana. Our world needs the hope that only Christ gives. God is using Awana to raise up kids, parents and leaders devoted to knowing Scripture, loving Him and reaching others with the gospel.

Our AWANA Program is on Sunday 2:00pm -3:30pm ….  All that is required is to purchase the book and it is $10.00 (optional items are available) But there is no charge for the program itself….

Puggles® recognizes the learning ability of 2- and 3-year olds by introducing biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. Toddlers love having their very own Awana club just like their older siblings.

In Puggles, children are welcomed each week with play time, songs and simple crafts and activities. Leaders present age-appropriate lessons using large, colorful teaching cards, finger puppet plays and more. Lessons teach and reinforce four basic biblical precepts:

  • God Made Everything

  • God Saw That It Was Good

  • God is Love

  • Give Thanks

Special take-home cards that correspond to each week's lesson help parents nurture their child's faith at home. Participating in Puggles will give your child a head start on the path to loving and following God for life.

Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers (3- to 5-year olds) by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.

Preschoolers can hardly wait for their next Cubbies club meeting. Whether it's the fun puppets, the exciting games or all their Cubbies friends, they simply love it. At Story Time each week, preschoolers learn about God – the greatness of His love and His Word – and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Games build excitement and reinforce Story Time lesson themes.

Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so your child will respect and trust Him for life.

Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

To many children in kindergarten to second grade, Sparks is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends.

  • memorize Bible verses

  • complete handbook activities

The handbooks, combined with Large Group Time lessons from the WHO Do I Need to Know From the Bible series, take your child on a journey through the entire Bible!

T&T engages third- through sixth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace.

Handbooks and large-group lessons deepen a child's knowledge about God and His Word and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.

Today, 10- to 12-year-olds, known as tweens, face unique pressures, demands and distractions. These factors can result in a marked increase in discouragement, apathy and disengagement. Christian children are not immune.

Awana has responded by updating T&T to reinforce commitment, identity and community for these kids and to give third- and fourth-graders a new club stage to anticipate. These updates also focus the attention of leaders on the unique challenges and needs of this age group.

The ultimate message to kids of every age group is that nothing is more important than their relationship with Christ and following His way of living in the Scriptures.

Trek

Awana Youth Ministries has launched a new 3 year middle school curriculum. This new program challenges students to wrestle with the three most important questions they’re asking in middle school:

  • Who am I?

  • Why am I here?

  • Who’s with me?

By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves we allow them to own their faith and discover what they actually believe.

We are very excited about the new Trek and can't wait to show it to you. If you have used Trek before, you will find the new Trek a welcomed update.

Journey® establishes high school students as lifelong disciples through a deep study of God's Word, mobilizing them to live with godly perspective and evident faith. Four complete years' worth of material supports your 9th-12th grade high-school ministry. Additional products, training materials, and awards are available.
