In a day when the arts are flourishing in the church, some are questioning the relevance of church choirs. Many churches have done away with choir. One of the most powerful and penetrating experiences of the arts is found in the dynamic of hundreds of voices lifted in passionate worship. It is pleasing to God . . . fulfilling to the worshipper and compelling to the seeker.

At Central Baptist, we never pray for great voices . . . we ask for lovers of song. Hearts make the best music. We worship, work, laugh, cry and grow week by week. There are no auditions and no one is ever turned away.

Rejoice Choir is made of individuals who feel called to lead God's people in worship each week. We truly emphasize the call of God on an individual who desires to be a part of our music ministry. A "called" choir member is one that understands their responsibility as worship leaders. It is not so much about the performance as it is about praising our great Savior!

Joy Orchestra | Wednesdays after bible study
The Instrumental Music Ministry of Joy Orchestra provides an exciting outlet for instrumentalists to use their talents in worship to God. Being involved in the Orchestra will challenge you musically, but most importantly, you will be challenged spiritually and you will be blessed as you bless others.

Psalm 150:3-6: “Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals! Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”

The most important requirement to join the Joy Orchestra is that you have a heart willing to serve others. The Orchestra's primary function is to accompany the Praise Team and Rejoice Choir. Through the combined sounds of singing and playing, worshippers are led to the throne of God.
